VARIANT® Heavy Duty
For loads up to 400 kg
Requirements and restrictions regarding safety on the part of authorities and building contractors are continuously on the rise. Noise and smoke protection legislation stipulates the dimensions required for designing doors, escape routes, fire zoning plans and functional Units.
It is not only the weight of a door that determines the need for hinges to be specially adapted to withstand particular stress or meet specific processing requirements. As well as its weight, the width of a door plays a crucial role, because the lever action requires that the entire door hinge system is especially stable. Additional influencing factors such as in-built swing door systems, door-closing mechanisms and other specific installation situations also have an effect on the size of the acting forces and therefore the load to which the hinge can be subjected.
Three is better than two: Hinge + receiver + cover
The optimal combination of hinge, receiver and cover makes all the difference. Only when all parts are perfectly tailored to one another and have optimised load capacities is it possible to distribute large loads in the best way possible and guarantee fault-free functioning.
The hinge system features proven technical properties including 3D adjustability, maintenance-free slide bearing technology and the use of frames in timber, steel and Aluminium.
